DEA 417 - Dental Materials II

This course is a continuation of the study of materials utilized in dentistry. Properties of additional dental materials and ADA requirements are presented.
Prerequisite: DEA 507  , DEA 314  , DEA 256  , DEA 413  , DEA 249

    3. Demonstrate the techniques for fabrication of provisional coverages including removal of excess cement

  10. Analyze the rational and uses of preventive and corrective oral appliances

    5. Clean and/or repair removeable prosthetic devices
    6. Discuss uses of abrasives
    7. Describe application of topical fluoride
    8. Identify suture materials
    9. Polish preexisting composite restoration
