The Turf Maintenance certificate will allow students to earn recognition for work completed in the area of turf maintenance. This certificate will provide students with the opportunity to develop specific skills related to the maintenance of such turfgrass areas as lawns, parks, athletic fields and golf courses.

Students start any semester.

Program Entry Requirements

Complete an application for admission.
Satisfy the assessment requirement.
Attend any required information/registration session.

Graduation Requirements

To earn a Turf Maintenance certificate, a student must complete all coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.

What Kind of Work Will You Do?

Mowing, fertilization, pesticide application, aeration, top dressing and marking of commercial, and recreational turf areas.

This may initially lead to seasonal employment only; experience over time may lead to full-time employment.
