HR3345 - Academic Titles

1. Institutional Regulations
   
   Regular College teaching faculty shall receive academic titles based on employment longevity at DMACC. Academic titles shall not be related to compensation.
    
2. Procedure
   1. Academic titles shall be assigned based on Regular faculty teaching experience at DMACC as follows
      1. Instructor - 0 through 3 years of Regular teaching experience from the date of hire as approved by the Board.
      2. Associate Professor - 4 through 5 years of Regular teaching experience from the date of hire as approved by the Board.
      3. Professor - More than 5 years of Regular teaching experience from the date of hire as approved by the Board.
   2. Previous adjunct or non-DMACC teaching experience shall not be used to qualify for an Associate Professor or Professor academic title.
   3. Academic titles will be updated in College telephone and web directories at the beginning of each academic contract year.
