ES4811 - Club Funding Approval Process

  1. Institutional Regulations

    To provide operational guidelines for approval of campus club funding.
     
  2. Procedure
    1. Student organizations shall agree to operate in conformance with all rules and regulations established by the college administration.
    2. In order to obtain funding from the SAC, the group must be a college recognized organization at DMACC with an approved campus club constitution and a club account in the Business Office. The prospective organization must petition the SAC for funding by following these procedure in respective order:
      1. The club must submit the request form for funding to the SAC, following the guidelines in the Handbook for Campus Clubs.
      2. Completed requests must be submitted to the Student Activities Office.
      3. The Student Activities Coordinator will take one of the following actions on the request:
        1. Approve the funding request as submitted and present it to the SAC for approval.
        2. Request additional information as needed.
        3. Deny funding request and provide explanation for denial.
      4. The Coordinator of Student Activities will determine funding approval or denial according to the guidelines provided in the Campus Club Handbook. These guidelines shall include:
        1. Requirements of a Student Organization
        2. Guidelines for Club Approval and Funding
      5. After a funding request has been approved by the Coordinator of Student Activities, the fund request must be submitted to the Student Activities Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting for approval.
      6. Upon approval of the petitioning group’s request for funding by the SAC, an Activity Approval form must be completed and approved. A journal transfer will be completed by the Student Activities assistant once received.
      7. The Student Activities Office will notify the club that the funding has been approved and money transferred to the account.
