- Procedure
- Students:
- Payment is due by the established due date for each term, except as follows:
- Financial Aid:
- Students with approved Financial Aid will have their aid released to their account in accordance with Federal and State guidelines.
- The Financial Aid Department may grant an extension of the payment due date to students with pending aid, however there is no guaranteed enrollment past the due date.
- Payment Agreements:
- Students may initiate an installment plan for payment of credit class enrollment with a down payment as determined by the Business Office plus a non-refundable fee.
- The plan may be initiated anytime after registration and prior to the term’s due date or at the time of enrollment, if after the due date.
- The plan guarantees the student enrollment in credit courses for the semester, even if payments are not made on time.
- Information concerning the plan will be made available to students in the Business Office of each campus.
- Students not making timely payments may be precluded from dropping courses from their schedule.
- Only the Business Office shall be authorized to make special arrangements with students for payment of amounts due.
- Third Party Payments (Employers/Agencies):
- The employer or agency that wishes to pay for student enrollment charges must provide written notification to the Business Office.
- The student is responsible to determine that DMACC has received the notification by the due date of the term.
- The College will not accept a conditional billing request (student must have passing grade, etc.).
- The Business Office or the appropriate department as designated by the Business Office will complete the billing.
- The College reserves the right to assess a late registration fee anytime after the designated last day to formally add classes.
- The student’s enrollment will be cancelled if payment or payment arrangements have not been made by the stated due date of the term.
- The Business Office must approve any and all exceptions to these procedures.
