BS5764 - Budgets for Grant/Contract Proposals

1. Institutional Regulations
   
   All grant and contracts proposals must be reviewed by Business Services before submission.
    
2. Procedure
   1. All government agency funded project budgets must be approved by Institutional Advancement.
   2. Business Services will review proposed grants and contracts to assure that:
      1. All necessary budgetary implications have been considered and
      2. All direct and indirect cost components are in compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations.
   3. Business Services will make final recommendations prior to the President’s signing.
   4. Upon the receipt of a grant or contract approval or authorization, the Business Office shall establish a unique cost center for the project and establish a budget for revenues and expenses.
