PNN 229 - Foundations of Nursing II Credits: 4 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Practicum Hours: 3 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech This course is a continuation of Foundations of Nursing I. Focus is on the care of patients across the lifespan with health alterations that require medical and/or surgical intervention. The course provides a decision-making framework, through the nursing process, to assist students in developing effective clinical judgment skills. Students integrate pathophysiology, pharmacology, and nutrition with concepts of evidenced-based practice, patient-centered care, safety, and professionalism.
