This capstone course integrates the application of all course work in the paralegal program. Students use critical thinking and analytical skills developed throughout the program to analyze facts, synthesize information, and perform legal work under the direction and supervision of an attorney and faculty instructor.
(This course is Pass/Fail.)

Prerequisite: PRL 102, PRL 103, PRL 104, PRL 112, PRL 113,PRL 135, and a minimum grade of “C” in all PRL courses and completed a minimum of seven PRL courses.
Corequisite: PRL 105
Competencies

Demonstrate elementary competency as a paralegal
1. Integrate substantive and practical knowledge gained from the PRL curriculum into the 180-hour internship
2. Produce competent work product
3. Complete assigned work in a timely manner
Record compliance with internship requirements
1. Document weekly work and submit weekly reports
2. Evaluate internship and program experiences
Seek and implement feedback from the supervising attorney
1. Develop a positive working relationship with the supervising attorney(s) and a professional reputation within the workplace
2. Use appropriate communication with various stakeholders
3. Demonstrate professionalism, including consistent attendance
4. Support co-workers and supervising attorney(s)
5. Develop the ability to take initiative, including the ability to independently identify and pursue work tasks
