The course presents a comprehensive study of process control characteristics such as elements, modes, and stability, along with detailed knowledge of measurement technique, control mode implementation, and final control element functions. In keeping with modern trends, the digital aspects of process control technology are stressed. Hydraulic and pneumatic process control is included.
Prerequisite: ELT 123  and ELT 131  and ELT 303
