DRA 232 - Advanced Movement for Actors

An in-depth exploration of movement technique for actors. Training and experimentation in truthful, healthy, and dynamic physicality for actors preparing to enter the acting industry. This course also includes construction of a physical warm up, focus on effective use of gesture, and application of movement work for actors to acting material.

    1. Experiment with meaningful movement theories that are applicable to professional acting environments
    2. Demonstrate the ability to self-select the most effective movement theories for one’s self in relation to a variety of acting material
  5. Perform professional dialogue for actors with truthful application of dynamic movement
    1. Analyze material for actors using advanced movement technique
    2. Experiment with professional dialogue using advanced movement technique

    1. Evaluate one’s own physical acting work
