- Identify hydraulic component symbols.
- Interpret the meaning of hydraulic symbols.
- Draw schematics of each test stand using ISO symbols.
- Calculate the force of a given cylinder under given pressures.
- Compute the area of a piston.
- Determine the force of the cylinder using the force-area pressure formula.
- Compute the effective area on the rod side of the piston.
- Identify the force of a cylinder retracting using the force-area pressure formula.
- Evaluate a gear pump for possible repairs.
- Disassemble the gear pump.
- Inspect the pump for wear patterns.
- Explain the operation of the gear pump.

- Analyze the times for the correct repair.
- Check the cylinder drift of the cylinders.
