MMS 480 - Video Production I Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech Students will learn the proper use of cameras, lighting, lenses, sound and technology to create shots and digital video clips. Students will also learn the fundamentals of editing. A personal digital camera is required for this course; students will also be trained to operate professional-grade cameras. Competencies

- Discuss high angle shots and low angle shots
- Describe headroom, looking room, lead room

- Examine pre-production activities including treatments, writing, shot lists
- Integrate digital video, sound, analog video, and minor special effects to develop a short video that is designed to accomplish a predetermined goal
