CET 110 - Materials Testing Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech Students will develop a working knowledge of sampling and testing basic materials used in the highway construction industry (aggregate and concrete). Iowa Department of Transportation materials certifications (AGG I, AGG II and PCC I) will be given to students upon successful completion of state certification exams given during the course. - Explain the principles of sampling Aggregates
- Identify equipment needed for sampling

- Understand results of Soundness tests by freezing and thawing
