- Participate in the drills that are used to perfect skill for playing the game
- Describes the origin and a brief history of the game
- Demonstrate comprehension of the basic rules and court markings of badminton
- Demonstrate the knowledge of proper scoring
- Identify the various grips used in badminton
- Demonstrate competence in the basic strokes of badminton
- Practice the lob or clear
- Practice the smash
- Practice the drive
- Practice the drop shot.
- Practice the net shot
- Practice overhead, sidearm, and underhand strokes
- Practice all of above strokes both forehand and backhand
- Perform the basic skills of the serve
- Practice the short, low serve
- Practice the high, deep serve
- Practice all above serve both forehand and backhand
- Explain selected terminology used in badminton
- Demonstrate the ability to play both singles and doubles in badminton
