Prerequisite: Admission to an Aging Service Management program. Competencies
- Research the cultural diversity demographics of the elderly population
- Identify the race, national origin and cultures of the minority population
- Review the social, demographic, economic and health status of ethnic minorities
- Distinguish methods to address the needs of the ethnic minority population
- Define methods to modify services
- Examine the barriers to the access of services for the ethnic minority
- Discuss the problems of language barriers in health care settings
