This class is an overview of the journalism profession. Emphasis focuses on the fundamental principles of news gathering, writing, editing, and the qualities of news. Substantive areas include the history, law, ethics, and contemporary state of journalism.

    2. Explain how the introduction of new mass media has changed journalism.
