MAP 118 - Medical Office Management II

Course emphasizes health insurance including insurance filing, CPT, ICD and HCPCS coding. Posting charges. Appointment scheduling, communication skills. Psychomotor skills include inventory control, purchasing, quality control, quality improvement and management of facility, equipment and supplies. Students utilize policy, procedure and safety manuals.
Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MAP 110
