Landscape painting using any water-based media. Study of the elements of art to aid in composition and development of a personal painting style. Field trips will be required.
Competencies

Apply media techniques and processes with sufficient skill, confidence, and sensitivity that their intentions are carried out in their art works
Conceive and create landscape paintings that demonstrate an understanding of how the communication of their ideas relates to media techniques and processes that they use
Communicate ideas at a high level of effectiveness in a minimum of 5 different landscape paintings
Initiate, define, and solve challenging landscape painting problems using intellectual skills such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation
Exhibit their landscape paintings and participate in guided critiques of their work
