WAT 307 - Wastewater Treatment ICredits: 4 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 2 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech This course explores the fundamentals of wastewater treatment and basic operational procedures. Students learn the duties of a treatment plant operator, why we treat wastes and the operations of wastewater treatment facilities. Students are also taught preliminary treatment, sedimentation and flotation, trickling filters, rotating biological contactors, activated sludge, waste treatment ponds, disinfection and chlorination.
