The Animation and Rich Media Certificate starts to prepare students for entry level positions in the Animation and Rich Media industry. Students learn 3D software skills, processesm and workflows used in the animation industry.

When students complete the Animation and Rich Media Certificate, they can choose to continue to an advanced certificate, Animation and Rich Media Advanced Certificate . The skills learned and demonstrated in these advanced classes will enhance the student’s ability to create a group project and a personal demo reel.

This Animation & Rich Media certificate is for individuals who want to develop a base skill set in Animation and Rich Media software. This skill set can be added to the Visual Communications Diploma or the Graphic Design Degree to give graduates more options in the job market. Others may want this certificate to use as a base when transferring to another college that specializes in Animation. Professionals may desire these classes to build skills needed for current or new job opportunities.

This is a full-time program. To complete this program, students must take daytime classes; not all classes are offered at night.

Program Entry Requirements

Complete an application for admission.
Satisfy the assessment requirement.
Attend a required Animation program information session.

Graduation Requirements

To earn a Animation & Rich Media Certificate, a student must complete all coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
