Marketing, AA

Looking for a growth-oriented career? Something fast-paced, ever-changing and challenging, with opportunities for advancement and pay to match? Today a career in Marketing offers all this and more. You could be working for some of the fastest-growing companies and brightest business leaders. By using your skills and creativity, you will become part of the future in American business.

Students who plan to transfer to public or select four-year colleges or universities should consider the AA degree program. The AA degree will satisfy freshman and sophomore Marketing requirements of four-year colleges if planned carefully with an advisor.

Coursework blends general education requirements with classes designed with the help of successful marketers who know what it takes to succeed. Classroom instruction is based on lectures, labs, speakers, internships and study tours. Major areas of study include liberal arts, communication, humanities, business, marketing, sales, advertising, promotion and understanding buyer behavior in small business, retail and business-to-business marketing environments. The Marketing program also offers many opportunities to develop and demonstrate leadership skills.

Marketing classes are designed to help students learn in a fun and interactive environment that includes study tours, student activities and professional development. Day, evening and online classes are offered.

Contact a DMACC Marketing instructor, counselor or advisor for transfer planning assistance. If you are interested in a program that includes a heavier emphasis on business and marketing classes, plus a hands-on internship experience, consider the Marketing AAS degree  .
