Web Developer

This certificate provides a core set of web development skills for working with commercial website applications. The coursework focuses on client side development skills including design, presentation, image manipulation, web page creation, stylesheets and basis javascript functionality. Wordpress is featured as an introduction to content management software.

A student who completes this certificate should be able to maintain, update, design and build a commercially oriented website application with a focus on the client side present ion. More advanced functionality would be available within Wordpress applications.

  3. Attend any required information/registration session.

Graduation Requirements

To earn a Web Developer certificate, a student must complete all required coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.

  • Use a variety of skills and technologies to define, design and build applications that meet customer and client

  • Interest and curiosity about new and developing technologies related to the Internet.
  • Good communication skills, especially written and personal skills.
  • Self-motivation and excellent time management skills. Excellent general computer skills and a high comfort level using new software.

  • Classes require daily use of a computer with current software and operating system.
  • Program uses both Mac and PC skills.
