The Marketing AAS degree is designed for students who want to prepare for an immediate career in business, or who intend to go on to work full or part-time in marketing while earning a four-year Marketing degree. The AAS degree does offer select transfer options for students planning on attending a four-year college.
Coursework is designed with the help of successful marketers who know what it takes to succeed. Classroom instruction is based on lectures, labs, speakers, internships and study tours. Major areas of study include marketing, digital marketing, sales, advertising, promotion and understanding buyer behavior in small business, retail and business-to-business marketing environments. The Marketing program also offers many opportunities to develop and demonstrate leadership skills through study tours, club meetings, professional development activities, meetings with business leaders, community involvement projects and group projects. Many graduates of the Marketing program have gone on to become marketing managers, regional marketing supervisors, professional salespeople, digital marketers and customer service representatives.
