Management education at DMACC offers two great ways to earn a Management Degree that’s tailored to your needs: The Management Associate in Applied Science (AAS) and Management Associate in Arts (AA) . The AAS can be customized to your specific management education needs for those who want a faster connection to a management career with the option to transfer to local colleges and universities. The AA provides maximum transferability to state universities.
The Management AAS program includes 16 business and management classes in communication, human relations, business management, supervision, computer applications, team-building, leadership development, and human resource management. Six additional option classes allow students to customize the degree to individual needs or transfer credits. In addition, the program includes an internship to help students demonstrate management skills and increase career opportunities. Students with prior occupational experience in sales and management may gain advanced standing after experience is documented and submitted for consideration.
Classes are designed to help students learn management skills through hands-on activities such as cases, group projects, study tours, professional development activities, meetings with business leaders and community involvement projects. Day, evening and online classes are offered.
Graduates of the program have found positions as general managers, supervisors, human resource recruiters and assistants, office managers, manufacturing and distribution managers, production supervisors, parts and inventory managers, entrepreneurs, customer service representatives, training coordinators, sales managers, buyers and purchasing agents.
If you are interested in a program that features seven business management classes along with general education requirements and prerequisites designed to transfer to a state university, take a look at the Management AA Degree .
