Accounting & Bookkeeping Diploma

The Accounting & Bookkeeping program is designed to provide you skills needed for entry-level positions in the accounting field. Emphasis is placed on providing strong computer skills including Excel, QuickBooks, and Peachtree. Concentration is available in the areas of Payroll, Income Tax, and Accounting Internships. Communication and leadership skills are incorporated in all of the courses.
Upon completion you will have the skills needed to perform full-time full-charge bookkeeping and payroll services for small and medium sized businesses.
The program is designed to give you flexibility if you choose to continue. All of the courses can be used to complete the Accounting Specialist program and many can be used to obtain one or more specialized certificates in accounting.

- Complete an application for admission.
- Satisfy the assessment requirement.
- Attend any required information/registration session.
Graduation Requirements
To earn an Accounting & Bookkeeping diploma, a student must complete all coursework as prescribed, maintain a 2.0 grade point average and receive a grade of “C” or higher in all ACC coursework.

What Else Should I Consider about this Program or Career Choice?
- Class work requires daily homework preparation (average two-three hours per night).
- Reading and math skills are important to get maximum benefit from the classes.
- All classes can be used to complete Accounting Specialist degree.
