The Web Developer, Full Stack, AAS degree is intended for the student who is interested in designing and building commercial web based applications. The program offers a variety of skills, technologies and current software tools. A student who completes this program will be able to evaluate, design and build a commercial web application. They will be able to create the expected functionality of the web app, including such e-commerce components as database-driven content, shopping carts and payment processing. Web developer tools and technologies are constantly changing. The courses will use current industry software based on current standards. Many of the upper-level courses in this program are designed to address the newest and developing technologies that are an expectation of this field. Graduates of this program have a variety of employment opportunities. They may work with small to mid-sized firms that provide full stack developer services. They may work with large corporations on corporate websites. This program also provides graduates with a set of skills that will allow them to work on their own as a contractor, or to start their own business venture.

What Kind of Work Will You Do?
- Updates and modifications to existing website applications.
- Debugging and fixing of website applications.
- Creating new pages and content for existing applications.
- Implementing new technologies in older website applications.
- Meet with customers and clients to determine needs, expectations and deadlines.
- Creation of new website applications.
- Manipulation of images and other content for presentation on a web page.
- Use a variety of skills and technologies to define, design and build applications that meet customer and client business expectations.

- Interest and curiosity about new and developing technologies related to the Internet.
- Good communication skills, especially written and personal skills.
- Self-motivation and excellent time management skills.
- Excellent general computer skills and a high comfort level using new software.

- Classes require daily use of a computer with current software and operating system.
- Program uses both Mac and PC skills.
- The material, software and technologies within this program change very rapidly.
- Many employment opportunities are part-time, contract and self-employed work that require experience or work examples.
