The Cybersecurity AAS degree is designed to provide a comprehensive program to develop a skilled workforce in the field of cyber security. The curriculum covers: preserving information confidentiality and protection, risk management, data and system integrity, availability, authenticity and utility. The program is based on information security concepts, principles, methods, techniques, practices and procedures that guide today’s IT security professionals. Other areas of focus include digital forensics, incident response, and virtualization.

What Kind of Work Will You Do?
- Monitor anti-threat solutions and takes the appropriate actions to resolve any threats.
- Perform network scanning and vulnerability assessments and maintains patch management system.
- Create and maintain documentation regarding all security violations, incidents and malware infections.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of security controls, processes and procedures.
- Assist with ensuing compliance with various regulations and industry standards.
- Update secure configurations by routinely reviewing vendor sites, bulletins, and notifications for security information.
- Research, test and recommend new software and hardware to enhance security efficiency to meet needs.

- May work irregular hours and be on 24-hour call for duty.

- Write computer programs in programming languages (Examples: Python, C#, C++, Java, etc)
