This Associate of Arts transfer degree is designed for students transferring to the University of Northern Iowa or Iowa Wesleyan University to study Human and Family Services. Requirements may vary at other institutions so students should become familiar with the specific course requirements of the four-year institution to which they plan to transfer. Program Graduation Requirements
To earn a Human and Family Services: Transfer Major AA, a student must complete all required coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Diversity Requirement:
Complete 3 semester credit hours to satisfy the Diversity Requirement with a minimum grade of “C.” The Diversity Requirement does not increase the number of credits required for graduation. The course used to fulfill the Diversity Requirement may also be used to fulfill three credits of Core requirements in Communications, Social & Behavioral Sciences, Humanities or Distributed Requirements, providing the diversity course is listed as fulfilling Core requirements in Communications, Social & Behavioral Sciences or the Humanities. If the course does not fall under any of the Core groups, the course used to fulfill the Diversity Requirement may count as an elective.
*HSV185 will satisfy the Diversity Requirement and would be a helpful going into the Human Service/Social Work field.
