An increasing number of people are realizing the rewards and challenges of owning their own businesses. The Entrepreneurship program will help you create or improve your plans to be successful in owning or operating a Small-Business. Although you may have the technical skills, or be very knowledgeable about a certain industry, the entrepreneurship program emphasizes how your passion and skills tie into the day-to-day operation of a business. In addition, this flexible program is designed to impact students in their work environments in the real world, regardless of whether you start a business or not! This is accomplished through various innovative marketing strategies, current creative financing methods and employee development skills. The program also emphasizes personal development in accounting, supervision, communication and relationship management. To make it convenient for today’s busy students, courses are being offered during the day, evening and online.

- Satisfy the assessment requirement.
- Attend any required information/registration session.
Graduation Requirements
To earn an Entrepreneurship certificate, a student must complete all required coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Total Credits Required to Complete this Certificate - 25*
*Total credits are calculated using the least number of credits need to satisfy the option requirements.
These credits are applicable to the Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, AAS .

What Kind of Work Will You Do?
- Possibility of starting your own business.
- Assist management in small business operations.
- Provide information and suggestions to management, coworkers and/or customers.
- Communicate in person, by telephone, or in writing with management, coworkers and/or customers.
- Hire personnel, direct, supervise and evaluate their work.
- Sell products or services to customers.
- Create, coordinate and communicate solutions to work environment or for customers.
- May be responsible for information management to include small computer operation, typing, data entry, report preparation and documentation.

- Reading, communication and math skills must be at college level to gain maximum benefit from classes.
- For career advancement and advanced position placement, it is important that students continue college coursework beyond the two-year program.
- For transferability to four-year colleges and universities, it is important that students work closely with advisors and admissions counselors.

At the completion of the Entrepreneurship Certificate, students will be able to: - Examine introductory business applications and strategies needed to start and operate a small business,
- Complete entrepreneurship preparation and feasibility analysis
- Prepare a business plan
- Evaluate the intricacies of marketing their company’s products and services
- Critique managing a business operation
- Assess financial concepts including balance sheets and income statements
