Supply Chain Management Certificate

The Supply Chain Management certificate has been designed for students for entry-level positions in the growing supply chain management industry. Besides strengthening the “soft skills”, a strong emphasis is placed on increasing the problem solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills of students ensuring better market employability.

Students may start this program any semester


Students may start any semester although a Fall start is recommended. Several classes are offered during the Summer semesters as well.  Students are encouraged to visit with Advisers to chart out a suitable plan.

  1. Complete an application for admission.
  2. Satisfy the assessment requirement.
  3. Attend any required information/registration session.

Program Graduation Requirements


To earn a Supply Chain Management Certifiate , a student must complete all required coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.

Broad general knowledge of the supply chain management industry, good interpersonal and computer skills.  Ability to work in a team and diverse environment would be beneficial.

Iowa is at the crossroads of major national multi-modal transportation and distribution network including rail, road, air and pipeline.  Several central Iowa companies and Iowa State University have supported this program because of a lack of trained professional in this industry.
