The AA in Accounting and Financial Administration is designed for students who want to continue their education in Finance and/or Accounting at Iowa State University, University of Iowa, and University of Northern Iowa. It is designed for maximum transferability to these Universities and will also be the best option for students pursuing AACSB Accredited Universities outside of Iowa. Students who complete this degree will be able to enter the College of Business at these schools after taking the appropriate options required by each institution. (Contact an Advisor for each institution's requirements.) Financial Administration will provide a competitive advantage to students seeking internships and employment by allowing them to take more Accounting classes during their first two years. Some of those options include advanced knowledge of Computer Accounting packages, Payroll Accounting, and Financial Analysis.
