HSV 133 - Conflict ResolutionCredits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Open This course is designed to study the history, components and process of conflict resolution and to examine the implications for the use of conflict resolution within the human services, psychology and social work fields. This course will provide students with the opportunity to develop conflict resolution skills, as well as to examine their own comfort with conflict and how conflict is presented in the media. The course will also focus on the application of mediation in terms of social justice issues, in particular on child welfare, juvenile problems and restorative justice.
