This course is a survey of the basic principles of firefighting as they relate to firefighter professional qualifications. Especially emphasized are the basic skills needed to become accredited as a Fire Fighter II based on the National Fire Protection Association Standard NFPA 1001. Completion of this course satisfies Iowa State Firefighter II certification.
