Through this course, students will understand the legal principles pertaining to funeral services. The students will study the laws and rules that govern the funeral director and the embalmer, and students will examine their legal responsibilities to the consumer, including the legal status of the deceased, rights and responsibilities related to disposition, regulatory compliance, and basic probate law.
