This course will cover the fundamentals of blue print reading & measurements. The student will learn how to find information from blueprint, perform calculations involving common English units, metric units, and conversions between the two systems.
Competencies

Perform basic shop calculations
1. Convert between metric and US Customary Units 1
2. Convert between decimals and fractions

Determine if measured part dimensions meet specifications
1. Demonstrate proper use of measurement tools

Evaluate technical drawings
1. Interpret views of a Multiview drawing
2. Describe guidelines for dimensioning drawings
