The course will provide students with the knowledge to recognize the hazards of the workplace and to work safely in or around such hazards. Competencies

- Describe how to create a culture of safety in the workplace
- Name the safety roles and responsibilities of these organizations: OSHA, NIOSH, EPCRA, EPA, state safety agencies

- Correct machine operation safety hazards
