INT 124 - Interior Design Analysis

Introduces the field of interior design, design elements, systems, principles, and theories. Applies principles of design and concept development to two- and three- dimensional design projects. Focuses on hands on work with minimal technology requirements.

  4. Demonstrate knowledge hand drafting

    2. Draft plans using architectural scale 
  5. Create SketchUp model 
    1. Translate floor plan to SketchUp 
    2. Build 3D views 
  6. Establish watercolor skills 
    1. Sketch interior objects and apply watercolor 
    2. Complete 3D renderings using watercolor 
  7. Compose presentation board 
    1. Print required materials and mount to foam core 
    2. Obtain physical samples and mount to foam core 
    3. Demonstrate good craftsmanship 
  8. Create digital presentation 
    1. Convert hand rendered floor plan & elevations to digital 
    2. Collect digital materials 
    3. Use Adobe Creative suite to design a presentation poster 
    4. Print poster on large format printer
