MAP 113 - Medical Office Management II Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech Course emphasizes health insurance including insurance filing, CPT, ICD and HCPCS coding. Administrative procedures also include posting charges to patient accounts, appointment scheduling, and professional communication skills. Psychomotor skills include inventory control, purchasing, quality control, quality improvement and management of facility, equipment and supplies. Students utilize policy, procedure and safety manuals. Prerequisite: MAP 112 Competencies
