MLT 292 - Clinical Lab Professional & Re Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Open Students review medical laboratory subject areas, discuss clinical experiences, and present case studies. Professionalism, certification, continuing education, and legal responsibilities are discussed. A mock certification exam is given. Prerequisite: Prerequisite MLT 242 with a Grade ‘C’ or above; MLT 251 with a Grade ‘C’ or above; MLT 261 with a Grade ‘C’ or above; MLT 270 with a Grade ‘C’ or above: MLT 232 with a Grade ‘C’ or above Corequisite: Co-requisite: MLT 289 Competencies
- Compare and contrast clinical lab areas
- Discuss hospital lab organization and arrangement of departments
- Review contents of and practices within the different departments of the clinical lab
