  1. Institutional Regulations

    Current DMACC students, faculty, and staff are welcome to borrow, and have access to, library materials as outlined below. Community members may also request borrowing privileges; see ES4731 .
     
  2. Procedure
    1. Borrowing DMACC Library Materials
      Students and faculty/staff wishing to borrow items from the library, should present a valid library card.
      1. Limits for Students
        The DMACC Libraries may set limits for the number and type of items students may borrow and intra-campus requests. Refer to the Library website for more information.
      2. Limits for Faculty and Staff
        The DMACC Libraries does not limit the number or type of items faculty/staff may borrow but may limit intra-campus requests. Refer to the Library website for more information.
      3. Loan Periods
        The DMACC Libraries determine the loan periods based on several factors, including but not limited to, demand, format, user status, and cost.
    2. Inter-Library Loan
      Students and faculty/staff may request to borrow items from a non-DMACC library; see ES4730 - Inter-library Loan (ILL) .
    3. Fine/Lost Items
      DMACC Libraries has set forth procedures and policies pertaining to overdue fines and replacement charges; see BS5834 - Collection of Library Assessments .
    4. Incidental Policies and Procedures
      DMACC Libraries may add/revise/drop additional incidental policies and procedures as needed to provide an environment conducive to educational learning, as well as for the protection of the collections. These policies/procedures include but are not limited to:
      • Open hours
      • Food/drink
      • Study room and equipment use
