ES4410 - Dissemination of Job and Internship Postings to DMACC Students & Alumni

  1. Institutional Regulations
    1. The DMACC Career Center will maintain an online job and internship posting system that is accessible and free for all current and former DMACC students.
    2. The DMACC Career Center will only approve job and internship postings that do not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability or, to the extent covered by law, Veteran status.
  2. Procedure
    1. Online Job and Internship Posting System
      1. DMACC Students and Alumni will be granted free access to the college’s online job and internship system by registering as Student or Alumni users.
      2. Employers who wish to post jobs or internships on DMACC’s online posting system may do so by either:
        1. Requesting access via registering an Employer account on the college’s system.
        2. Sending postings to Career Center staff who will post to the system on the employer’s behalf.
      3. Career Center staff will review Employer registration requests in a timely manner, approving or denying access within one (1) business day.
      4. The DMACC Career Center reserves the right to limit, refuse, or revoke employer users’ access to its online job/internship posting system. Grounds for limiting, refusing, or revoking access may include, but are not limited to:
        1. Employer users representing third-party recruiting or staffing companies.
        2. Employer users representing direct sales companies or any other company which makes employment contingent upon any form of payment or financial investment from applicants.
        3. Employer users who are private members of the community and do not represent a specific company or organization.
        4. Employer users whose identities Career Center staff cannot verify with the stated employing company.
        5. Employer users who have been found by Career Center staff to have abused their access to the college’s job/internship posting system in any way.
        6. Employer users whose hiring practices or conduct have been found by Career Center staff to be questionable or inappropriate.
      5. Career Center staff will review job and internship postings submitted to the system in a timely manner, approving or denying requests within one (1) business day.
      6. All postings will be visible to all student and alumni users to ensure fair and unbiased access to opportunities for all potentially qualified applicants.
    2. Employer Posters, Flyers, and other Promotional Materials
      1. Career Center staff will review employer materials promoting job and internship opportunities. If approved, the Career Center staff will share approved items with appropriate campus departments or contact(s).
      2. Career Center staff may also share employer materials with relevant faculty and staff (e.g. program chairs, advisors, counselors).
    3. Other Dissemination Methods
      1. Career Center staff may share job and internship postings with students, alumni, faculty, and staff using a variety of communication methods beyond the online posting system and campus bulletin boards, including (but not limited to):
        1. Promotional emails.
        2. DMACC-sponsored social media accounts.
