PRL 183 - Employment Law Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech This course will cover an introduction to employment and labor law. The course will include an overview of the legal relationship between employers and employees in the hiring, managing and firing phases. Laws and regulations concerning workplace discrimination, pay, benefits, safety and leave will be examined. Employment contracts and the labor-management relationship in the union setting will be reviewed. Prerequisite: PRL 102 , PRL 103 , PRL 112 Competencies
