PHB 113 - Principles of Phlebotomy Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech An orientation course designed to give students a thorough background in blood collection, including demonstrations of and practice performing venipuncture and skin puncture techniques. This course is required for students who wish to obtain certification in Phlebotomy. Students must also enroll in the Phlebotomy Clinical course (PHB 280). Corequisite: PHB 280 Competencies
