ELT 870 - Electronics Capstone Project Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 4 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech This course provides hands-on experience in a significant design project involving technological competence, open-ended problem-solving, teamwork, and both written and oral communication skills. Prerequisite: Instructor approval Competencies
- Identify a problem and formulate a strategy to solve it in a systematic fashion with given constraints of time, budget and other resources
- Generate necessary project reports such as project proposal, project time-line, design reports, and final reports, etc
- Make necessary presentations for critical review of their work
- Design, build and test a system or subsystem to meet given specifications
- Apply the skills they have learned in other courses as well as use modern analysis and design tools in the design of systems and subsystems
- Work in teams and subgroups
