Competencies
- Interpret information on a typical P & ID
- Identify and describe the information in the title block.
- Identify and describe the information in the main drawing
- Discuss the principles of line schedules
- Identify the use of specific symbols for equipment descriptions
- Provide an understand of the use of specific notes use on P & ID.
- Identify the main area on the master P & ID sheet
- Describe the abbreviations used for line designations on a master sheet.
- Describe the abbreviations used for instrumentation designations on a master sheet.
- Discuss the difference between graphic symbols and equipment symbols.
- Identify the common symbols used in P & ID diagrams
- Use the identification numbering system to d\identify different types of vessels.
- Use the identification numbering system to identify different types of valves.
