MAP 110 - Medical Office Management I Credits: 2 Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 2 Practicum Hours: 0 Work Experience: 0 Course Type: Voc/Tech Course emphasizes administrative responsibilities. Students will use critical thinking skills to incorporate cognitive knowledge in the performance of psychomotor and affective domains including written communications, records management, bookkeeping, banking, emergency preparedness and protective practices.In addition, this course includes computer skills in word processing, medical reports and business correspondence; professional applications of e-mail and internet research, introduction to computerized medical office and HIPAA requirements.
