Prerequisite: Basic computer literacy Competencies
- Explain the evolution of the Internet
- Describe the development of Telnet, FTP, and the World Wide Web.
- Describe software available for Internet access, such as Mosaic and Netscape
- Describe and compare commercial services, such as America On-Line, Compuserve, etc
- Use terminology common to Internet users
- Navigate on the Internet using Netscape
- Access sites through the World Wide Web
- Search for topical information through Web searches
- Send and receive e-mail messages
- Access sites and download information through FTP
- Access sites through Telnet
- Retrieve information on the Internet
- Access associations and download information
- Access on-line bibliographies and download information
