Prerequisite: Minimum scores on the TOEFL or Michigan Test Competencies

- Practice future time clauses.
- Formulate wh- questions.
- Identify the differences between the use of present perfect and present perfect continuous.
- Compare the use of modals and similar expressions.
- Distinguish between present/future modals expressing ability, permission, request, advice, suggestion, necessity, preferences, and expectations.
- Use present/future modals correctly in both written and oral speech.
- Identify gerunds and infinitives.
- Choose between a gerund and an infinitive after certain verbs.
- Review the use of gerunds after prepositions.
- Explain the use of infinitive of purpose.
- Use infinitives with too and enough.
- Explain the difference between the use of adjectives and adverbs.
- Express adjective comparisons with as and than.
- Give examples of superlative forms of adjectives.
- Name comparative and superlative forms of adverbs.
- Review the use of nouns and articles.
- Use proper, common, count and non-count nouns effectively.
