The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $42,850, and the top 10 percent earned more than $117,890. Most computer programmers have a bachelor’s degree; however, some employers hire workers with an associate’s degree. Most programmers specialize in a few programming languages. Database administrators (DBAs) use specialized software to store and organize data, such as financial information and customer shipping records. They make sure that data are available to users and are secure from unauthorized access. Database administrators usually have a bachelor’s degree in an information- or computer- related subject. Before becoming an administrator, these workers typically get work experience in a related field. Salary Information Source: U.S. Bureau Of Labor Statistics http://www.bls.gov/home.htm
