Land Surveying, Certificate

The Land Surveying program provides 9 credit hours of Land Surveying Coursework.   The 9 credits in this Certificate fulfill the surveying course requirements to seek licensure as a Land Surveyor in the State of Iowa.  This Certificate is intended for students who already have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a program containing mathematics, basic science courses, and practical experience.  Note:  Engineers and Land Surveyors in Iowa are licensed and regulated by the Engineering and Land Surveying Examining Board, and an applicant is subject to their terms and requirements.  Completion of this Certificate only fulfills the surveying course requirements, it does not fulfill the 2 year or 4 year degree requirement or any experience requirements.

To earn a Land Survey, Certificate, a student must complete all required coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
